At Northlea we mark the rhythms and seasons of the church year, from the anticipation and joy of Advent and Christmas to the reflective opportunities of Lent and the newness of Easter life.
Often, at Northlea, we worship with others! We frequently welcome musical guests as part of worship, including harp, flute, guitar, violin and other instrumentalists, as well as ensembles such as the Metropolitan Silver Band. Each Christmas the North Leaside community joins us for an outdoor evening of Carolling in the Pines, and a meaningful and sensitive The Longest Night service is held for those who find it challenging to celebrate at that time of year. Also at Christmas Northlea hosts the Children’s Christmas Pageant and a community choir-led Candlelight Service of readings and carols. Leading up to Easter, during Holy Week, on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, we worship with our friends and neighbours of Leaside Presbyterian Church. We also share worship with Leaside Presbyterian during the months of July and August!
