Ben McNally of Ben McNally Books presents his “Winter Reads”. Everyone is welcome! Ben is knowledgeable, funny and entertaining. He gives short synopses and opinions on what’s hot in fiction, non-fiction and some young adult titles. He also brings copies of books (some hardcover, some trade paper) for purchase … great for Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, or for you – nothing like a good book to curl up with on a cold winter evening! Come for coffee, tea and treats at 7. (We appreciate any bakers who bring treats with them!) Ben will begin at 7:30. There is a $5.00 charge for each person to offset costs. There will be time to buy books afterwards.
It helps the organizers out to have an idea of numbers, so please be sure to RSVP by email: email@example.com or call 416-425-5252 Thanks! Also, help us spread the word by inviting your friends!
The Wednesday Chair-based Exercise Class starts up again! The classes start at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 4 and will continue weekly until Wednesday, November 8. All are welcome. For more information, contact the church office, 416-425-5252.
The Arts Circle – beginning September 21
Is Your Creative Spirit looking for company? Are you a budding artist looking for a place to let those creative juices flow? A group gets together on Thursdays at Northlea (1:30 pm – 3:30 pm), along with their art supplies to draw, paint, create, and to share their love of the arts! All welcome!
Friday September 22 from 7-9 is youth night and we will be playing lots of games including Human Hungry Hippo. If you’ve never played Human Hungry Hippo before, you lay on a board with wheels and your team pushes you out to grab as many balls as possible and pulls you back in again. It’s tons of fun! There will also be snacks, because you have to have snacks at youth night.
It’s near Thanksgiving so if everyone brings a can of food or dried goods for the foodbank that would be great. Don’t forget to bring a friend too, the more the merrier!
Hope to see you on the 22nd!
