Singer, actor and comedian Ian Jutsun began his singing career at the age of 13 in Montreal and has lived in Toronto since 1992. Ian is an accomplished and consummate performer with thousands of live performances to his credit and has worked in TV, theatre and film throughout North America.

Table Games Night! Friday, November 10

Plan a fun evening at Northlea United on Friday, November 10th! Come early to mingle and chat at 6:30 – games start at 7 pm. If you’d like to bring a treat (something that requires no utensils, please) that would be great! Ends at 9 pm. Some of the games we have are Scattergories, SkipBo, Bananagrams/Scrabble, Monopoly, battleship, bridge, euchre, cribbage, and others! If you have a favourite game, please bring it! Come and learn a new game and invite a neighbour or friend!

Northlea’s Annual Community Corn Roast

Lots of fun was had on the front lawn of Northlea United on Wednesday, September 6, 6 – 8 pm.  Couldn’t have happened without help from our friends…. Maria Montessori School, Pawsitively Pets for Kids, Sportball and 132nd Toronto Scouts.  Thank You!


Small Group Series – Summer Interlude

Wednesdays, August 9, 16, 23 at 7 pm

Join Lee-Ann on a journey with the Psalms. We’ll spend some time in quiet reflection with contemporary versions of these ancient prayers, and share, as we are comfortable, with how they speak to us today. Bring a journal for your reflections and colorful pencils or markers if you’re inclined to be creative.
The small group process will use the Touchstones from Parker Palmer’s Circle of Trust and include Psalms from Nan C. Merrills collection, Psalms for Praying – An Invitation to Wholeness. Please let Lee-Ann know if you will be joining the group –

Summer Clothing Drive Starts on April 2

The Northlea United Church Refugee Support Group plans to launch a Summer Clothing Drive. Clothing will be collected at the church between now and Sunday, May 30th and will be given to New Circles who operate GLOW (Gently Loved Outfits to Wear). This is a free clothing service that ensures that thousands of newcomers and other families who are economically vulnerable can meet their basic need for clothing.  Continue reading “Summer Clothing Drive Starts on April 2”
